kids&puppiesThe Coalition of Massachusetts Dog Owners Groups (MassDOG) is composed of dog-related community organizations from around the Commonwealth.  We have joined together to learn from each other, support each others’ efforts, and serve as a unifying force for the greater community of dog owners in Massachusetts.  Our goals are to:

  • Promote responsible dog ownership
  • Encourage more safe and legal opportunities for off-leash recreation in Massachusetts, in ways that are respectful of other park users and of our natural resources
  • Help Massachusetts communities become more dog friendly
  • Work with government at the state and local level to better serve the needs of people with dogs

The main purpose of this website is to act as a clearinghouse for:

  • Information about all the things happening in our communities and with our groups
  • Resources about starting and maintaining successful off-leash recreation areas and dog owners groups
